When he founded the Methodist Church in 18th Century England, John Wesley assembled small groups to reach out, offer support and provide accountability and religious instruction to one another. This practice continues today in the Wesley Covenant Groups of University Park United Methodist Church.
Wesley Covenant Groups at University Park UMC are small groups comprised of six to 10 people who meet regularly to support one another’s spiritual growth.
These small groups of men, women and students are among our church’s fastest-growing ministries and have become the most popular way for people to bring their faith to life. Although each group adopts its own personality and selects its most convenient time to meet, all groups offer regular study, prayer, accountability and lasting fellowship.
